We’re thrilled to announce that in August we’ll be playing our next two performances of Schatz&Schatz in the south of Germany.
It will be an adapted version for a smaller space — with just as much fun and absurdity, and with catering before and after the performance. We’re also especially happy to share that Cynthia Cosima Erhardt will finally be joining us on stage. Until now, she has been at our side as outside eye and dramaturg.
Come one, come all — and laugh loudly and heartily!
Schatz&Schatz is acting with full-body commitment. Alexandra Entenmann and Fine Kroke take on big egos, poor conflict skills, polyamory, and the fear of being alone — wittily and entertainingly, live on stage. The characters try by every means to live up to an ideal, but the smallest triggers make the façade crumble: jealousy, anger, and passion break through. In short: being human. Despite all the self-reflection and analysis, there has to be room for imperfection. And enduring imperfection often only works with humor. Schatz&Schatz work through all of this in an unsparingly honest, self-ironic way. The characters walk through their shared life, never stopping, constantly searching — and perhaps, in the end, finding something unexpected. This piece is an ode to love, to bearing with one another, and a reminder that it’s worth the effort of truly grappling with each other. The piece was honored this year with the renowned Folkwang Prize in the Performing Arts.
