About the Production
The century’s power couple is back.
Extended version with deeper insights:
Touching, hilariously funny, unmistakable.
Let yourself be versührt!
Schatz&Schatz is the 45-minute Physical Theatre Artist-Diploma piece by Alexandra Entenmann and Fine Kroke at Folkwang University of the Arts. It is an in-depth exploration of the characters Schatz & Schatz from the 10-minute duo Living the Schatz Life.
In this extended format, themes such as polyamory, sustainability, egocentrism, the ability and inability to argue and the fear of loneliness are explored—both verbally and physically—with humor.
The characters try by all means to live up to an ideal, but the smallest triggers cause their facade to crumble—jealousy, anger, and passion break through. In short: being human. Despite all self-reflection and analysis, there needs to be space for imperfection. Enduring this often only works with humor. Schatz & Schatz grapple with this in a brutally honest, self-ironic way.
The characters walk through their shared life, never stopping, always searching—and perhaps, in the end, finding something unexpected.
This piece is an ode to love, to enduring each other, and a reminder that it’s worth working through each other.
“Schatz&Schatz” is a production by Schatz&Schatz GbR. With support from the Studenstiftung des Deutschen Volkes
